A documentary series about the Spanish soccer-club Atlético de Madrid that will have its premiere on Prime Video. It is directed by Javier Jiménez Vaquerizo.
This documentary follows the team during the 2021-2022 season, when the Atlético Madrid ranked third in “La Liga” also referred to as “Spanish Primera”, and furthermore lost at the quarter finals of Champions League in the match against Manchester City managed by Pep Guardiola.
Beyond the disappointing results in the season, Atlético de Madrid is much more than just a soccer-club, it is also a way of life. The club represents soccer aficionados (fans) that differ from the other, rival, team from the same city and that has signed record breaking deals with soccer celebrities.
With the arrival of Cholo Simeone everything changed for the club, and this documentary will give us some clues as to how and why, with interviews of its main players, and of course, the manager himself, whose motto would translate to “one game at a time.”
Another way of living: Atletico de Madrid does not only follow the team’s journey during that season, but it also tells the stories of its players, one of them being the idolized Fernando Torres.
