About This Chapter

This spooky number is brilliant in so many ways. The mise-en-scène is yet again, in this episode as in the previous, close to “perfecto”.

El gabinete de curiosidades: Sueños en la casa de la bruja
Cabinet of Curiosities: Dreams in the Witch House

And, once again, we are in the gothic horror scene, which never lets down, especially with the production crew behind this piece. The narrative flows at an alternating tempo, very fitting to the story. And the special effects, especially the CGI used to portray the witch, are as to be expected from a Del Toro production, fantastically fantastic.

It is wonderful to see Ruper Grint, in the starring role, which he takes on with sophistication, managing to convey the obsessiveness of the character most convincingly.

Oh, I wonder how Kirkegaard would have reacted watching this episode.
