Live to Lead is a documentary series directed by Geoff Blackwell with Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Greta Thunberg, Bryan Stevenson, Jacinda Ardern, Siya Kolisi, Gloria Steinem and Albie Sachs.
Leaders committed to making a difference in the world share their inspiring life stories in this series.
As has become tradition, Netflix “gives” us one of its curious “documentaries” that have a social message and are somewhat lecturing. In previous years they were brought by the hand of the creator of Black Mirror and presented by stars such as Hugh Grant (F*ck 2021 and 2022)… This year they have changed angle, and they are offering us something entirely new, and with new stars.
On this occasion it is Harry and Meghan, the new TV celebrities who, with the overwhelming treatment they received from the British tabloids, chose to move to the other side of the pond, and settle in America, where they have been offered numerous projects: presenting, interviewing and giving interviews themselves, and in this doc-series they are too part of the production team. This time around the theme are “leaders in the world”.
‘Live to Lead’ is an interesting compilation in seven episodes with stories about impressive people, with impressive careers. It is well produced and directed, and will probably be to the liking of many a viewer.
