Premise

A bigoted and bitter former soldier makes a living bidding on storage units and flipping whatever they may contain. One of lots, which he wins in an auction, holds a dark secret that dates back to WWII.

About this Chapter

As expected from a Guillermo Del Toro production the scenography is elaborate and every detail in its place. With the dark and dank atmospherics, we are transported to the time and place of this story, as only a good visual storyteller can.

The story is well narrated and condensed in the 45 minute duration of the episode. The story comes full circle, having given us a number of peculiar characterizations, and telling quite a few stories within this one tale.

Once the suspense has been built in crescendo, it culminates with a rather well crafted CGI supernatural element that will delight Del Toro fans for sure.
