Against the Ropes (Contra las Cuerdas) is a new comedy series created by Carolina Rivera starring Caraly Sánchez, Scarlet Gruber and Carmen Ramos.

Carolina Rivera is the creator of Against the Ropes, she is already being spoken about because of her recent success, also about maternity Daughter from Another Mother and her other film, Sexo Amor y Otras Perversiones.

About the Series

As has been seen, Carolina Rivera likes taking “day to day” things a step further and doing a good job of bringing us out of our comfort zone with regards to every day habits, with a touch of tenderness, a little irony and a lot of empathy. The formula seems to work for her and thanks to good acting, and above all, scripts that are very mundane, she manages to give us a an agreeable consumistic formula seasoned with many touches of reality and melodrama.

In this film, Angela, our heroine faces her reality after she leaves prison and confronts the reality of a country, an environment and above all, her own situation which she will have to face… on her own terms, in a funny and tender but personal way.

This series has ten episodes that will enable us to experience wild and crazy adventures, but above all, very tender and sensitive ones by Caraly Sánchez and these girls who manage to combine sentimentality with a show and good laughs.

We will see what the audience thinks of the new comedy by Carolina Rivera, “Against the Ropes” which you can view right now on Netflix.

Storyline

They say being a woman is all a business and maybe it’s true. We are complicated, complex and we look at life differently, exactly what Carolina Rivera captures in ‘On the ropes’, the new Netflix series that ‘unmasks’ life’s struggles and puts the subject of motherhood on the agenda.
