Monique Olivier: Accessory to Evil (L’affaire Fourniret: Dans la tête de Monique Olivier) is a docuseries directed by Christophe Astruc and Michelle Fines.

The gamekeeper accused of murdering nine young girls had an accomplice, his wife, Monique Olivier: a housewife who helped her husband rape and murder young girls between France and Belgium.

About the Series

Well, if you like grisly “true crime” series, full of interviews that go into more and more detail about the crimes, here you have this documentary series of six episodes that is about five hours long which will tell us all the details of the rapes, abductions and murders by this couple.

A docu-series that is very carefully photographed and with very elaborate dramatizations: a very pure true crime format that, for sure, will delight fans.

As you know, it’s for lovers of the terrifying and the sordid and for those viewers who like to have a good coffee whilst watching harsh stories that are very real.

About Michel Fourniret

Michel Fourniret was a French serial killer who was convicted of the murders of seven girls and young women between 1987 and 2003. He was dubbed the “Ogre of the Ardennes” by the media. He also attempted to murder five others, but was unsuccessful in some cases.

Fourniret was born on April 4, 1942 in Sedan, France and grew up with his father and two sisters. His father was an abusive alcoholic, which left Fourniret with mental health issues. At age 18 he joined the military but only served for nine months due to mental illness. Following his discharge, he became a truck driver and married Monique Olivier in November 1971. Read More
