Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is a series from Netflix directed by Tom Verica, starring India Ria AmarteifioGolda Rosheuvel.

If you’re a fan, you’re going to love it. And if you are not, you will discover a wonderful fairy tale with an excellent production and a dynamic that, in our very humble opinion, surpasses the original series at the level of treatment.

Netflix has discovered a niche market (that’s its job), and it knows how to take advantage of it. This time it does it with a stylish spin-off, delving in a deeper story, full of humor and with the magnificent India Ria Amarteifio heading the cast and putting all the irony that the character requires.

Series Review

They already warned us (in case you didn’t know) that this is a fictional work full of licenses, so forget about the reasonable similarities with Jane Austin. This is a different story, not the one we are taught in our history textbooks but the parallel universe of the Bridgertons, which is rather funny. As in Everything at Once and Everywhere, the story can go almost anywhere.

Above all, the story is well told, and it holds up to the unbalanced balance of the risks it takes. Let’s explain ourselves: it knows when to deal with more serious issues and when to entertain, when to resort to irony and when to take itself seriously, but always keeping the formulation of the series and its undoubted successes.

It knows how to be a juvenile series at times, but also a series that interests beyond the age range of viewers. It works very well regarding its technical aspects, with very elaborate costumes and a setting to match, modernly and respectfully, the genre to which, after all, it belongs.

It gets more and more serious as it evolves and gets very well into the story.

A series that, without a doubt, is going to win more followers for the franchise.

Netflix has been able to harness this niche.

With class and getting much more serious this time.
