XO, Kitty is a television series created by Jenny Han and Jennifer Arnold starring Anna Cathcart.

From the hand of the writer Jenny Han comes this new installment of the youth saga that has conquered millions of young people. This time, we will live a (youthful, yes) adventure in Seoul in which Kitty is reunited with her long-distance boyfriend and, of course, with herself. The series is actually a spinoff of the trilogy To All the Boys Iโ€™ve Loved Before in which Kitty played the role of the protagonistโ€™s younger sister.

For the (few) viewers who don’t know: it is specially designed for teenagers, with themes of their interest, entertaining and easy to consume.

Don’t expect anything complicated, good old Jenny Han became known as a young woman who wrote from her own experience and knew how to connect with viewers.

About the series

Believe it or not, it’s not Emily in Paris (it’s something like Kitty in Seoul), but it resembles it in some way, although looking less sophisticated, fresher, with a more Saved by the Bell style than the other one, which was a little more Gossip Girl.

As among so many series for teenagers (which many of you havenโ€™t seen, lucky you), Jenny Hall’s saga stands out for its freshness, closeness and, deep down, knowing how to create complicity through the simple and close.

Kitty’s sincerity promises to dazzle most people as she already did in (another series by the writer) The Summer I Turned Pretty. Yes, they are serial seriesโ€ฆ but let’s not forget that, year after year, these series are the most watched of the streaming network and, however pedantic we may get, they are kind of saving an industry that is not going through its best moment.

A charming series for young people created to fit their mindset.

Even if it’s not going to win any Emmy, it will surely be the favorite of thousands of kids.

Enjoy it.
