Synopsis

A self-help guru and cult leader gets embroiled in a complicated relationship with a rising pop star.

Lily-Rose Depp

Lily-Rose Depp is an actress and model known for the movies Tusk (2014), Planetarium (2016), and The King (2019). She is starring in the series for HBO, The Idiol.

Lily-Rose Melody Depp was born on 27 May 1999 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine, France.

She began her acting career in with a smaller role in Kevin Smith’s movie Tusk (2014). Following that she played the part as Isadora Duncan in the film, The Dancer (2016), and later as Catherine of Valois in epic war drama The King (2019). In 2021, she appeared in the movies Crisis, Voyagers, Silent Night and Wolf.

In television, she stars in the new Sam Levinson series The Idol.

She is the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis.

Sam Levinson is an American filmmaker, actor and screenwriter. Born January 8th, 1985 he is the son of filmmaker Barry Levinson.

Sam Levinson is known for the HBO series, Euphoria (2019-) and the movies such as Assassination Nation (2018) and Malcolm & Marie (2021). He has co-written the screenplay for the psychological thriller Deep Water (2022), and is the director of the HBO series The Idol (2022).

Awards and Nominations

2011 – won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the Sundance Film Festival for the film Another Happy Day.
2018 – nominated for the People’s Choice Award: Midnight Madness at the Toronto International Film Festival (tiff) for the movie Assassination Nation.
2020 – nominated for a BAFTA TV Award in the category of Best International Programme for the series Euphoria.
