Jennifer Coolidge is an American actress best known for her comedic roles in films such as Legally Blonde, Best in Show and A Cinderella Story. She has also had memorable roles on the television series 2 Broke Girls, Joey and Seinfeld.

Coolidge began her career as a regular on the NBC sketch comedy series The Electric Company from 1989 to 1991. She then moved on to appear in numerous movies, including American Pie, Down to Earth, Bad Teacher and Click. She was even nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Bobbie Morganstern, the mother of Rachel Green (played by Jennifer Aniston), on Friends.

Coolidge has also done voice acting work in many animated shows, including Clone High and King of the Hill. In addition to acting, Coolidge has written two books – The Joys of Life: At Home and On the Road With Jennifer Coolidge and Looking Good: Finding Your Style and Putting It Together with Flair – both released through St. Martin’s Press in 2009.

Coolidge is also a philanthropist, and is involved with various charities like the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and Feeding America. She has also served as a spokesperson for Cheez-It snack crackers and Olympus Cameras. Coolidge has been honored with an Outstanding Contribution to Entertainment Award from Avalon Hollywood in 2010, and was featured in People Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful People issue in 2007.

In addition to her acting work, Coolidge is an active stand-up comedian who performs worldwide. She frequently appears on Chelsea Lately and The Late Show With David Letterman. Her comedic style has been compared to Lucille Ball and Madeline Kahn, among others.
