Adam Driver gets down to business and stars alongside Ariana Greenblatt in this sci-fi thriller.

Aside from Adam Driver… yet another one about the apocalypse on Earth that won’t go very far, except for one thing.

A film that has been trashed with impunity by other critics because, surely, they must have overlooked its great philosophical-quantum virtue: dinosaurs appear in it!

Movie Review

A movie that looks like a big production in terms of its aesthetics and that, nevertheless, takes its chances on a B Series script where it’s necessary to disguise the lack of budget in a film, on the other hand, plagued with special effects.

As a screenplay, there is little original for us to feed on in this story of the last inhabitants of the Earth fighting against… dinosaurs (watch out).

But the film has a lot of philosophy behind it for fans of the world of Kantian ideas: the T-Rex appears! Yes, we were already missing him and this 65 has the great virtue of knowing how to bring back the great hero of our childhood and give him a leading role.

Not that this is Jurassic Park (to be serious: I wish it was), but those couple of well-directed and effects-packed scenes make that, somehow, all our childhood longing to meet the T-Rex again is rewarded and this movie is worth it for his performance.

The T-Rex, not Adam Driver, who will, more than likely, be a fine actor in other roles that are more worthwhile than this one.

For the script it has, it does not know how to take itself as a joke too much and, in part, it misses the glorious acting by the T-Rex, who knows how to give all the drama to this heartbreaking tragic story with his roars, almost neorealist, of a dinosaur struggling to overcome hunger.
