Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is a movie directed by , Cathy Yan. An action film with super héroes that is entertaining enough to be watched

Margot Robbie is Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey. She also has several friends to “shell out” justice and lots of kicks.

Storyline

The relationship between Harley Quinn and The Joker has ended, so the girl needs to find something to while away the tedium. Things look easy for this when half of Gotham is after you and you have unlimited chances for doing somersaults.

The Movie

Somersaults, blows, shots, and every once  in a while a joke. Not bad at all: this is like Girl Power in which the girls do the kicking and the foot always lands in the same place in the anatomy of the guy. This is a fun movie with lots of fighting action in which girls fight, deliver blows and do their thing against the baddies that deserve it.

Birds of Prey stands out in the artistic direction and the use of color, which is very vivid in these comic adaptations. The set and montage department are outstanding and, this movie which does not have a lot of special effects, CGI does what it needs to do and balances the whole thing.

Heading this project we find an excellent (as always) Margot Robbie who opened up her career with this movie in Hollywood (Scorsese turned her into a star in The Wolf of Wall Street). She repeated this role as Harley in The Suicide Squad, which was wilder than this movie, but just as fun.

Birds of Prey is a kind of Girl Power movie that is fun, amusing and which does no harm to anyone except the really bad baddies, confirms Margot Robbie as a Hollywood star, she gets out of hand just as necessary, this is a good movie about super villains, this is a pic that is entertaining and a healthy show.

There is lots of kicking here.

Our Opinion

A crazy movie that is wild enough to enable the viewer to spend two hours being entertained and leaving problems to one side for some other time.
