Movie Review
‘Don’t Blame Karma!’ is an amusing movie for a romantic comedy, with its pinch of originality.
Elisa Miller knows how to make the most of the great cast, their fame in Mexico, in this piece so true to the essence of contemporary Mexican comedy that is so well adapted to please the international movie scene. Smart and with plenty of irony, the movie is actually quite good.
A movie that is funny in the description of the world of fashion (a lot of fun with this) and the (obvious) parody present there. It knows how to maintain the tone, keep everyone happy without losing a certain “essence” of its own or the personal taste of the director, who knows how to give it her own touch.
The dubbing is not bad, the humor is in the story line itself, not in the lines and retorts, therefore no gist is lost in translation.
Our Opinion
A feel-good summer movie, true to the Netflix style, although it might have a chance beyond the platform being a notch better in its production than many of the platform’s summer releases, with a good soundtrack, thanks to Gil Cerezo’s singing.
