Synopsis
It is wedding season, which is not an easy time for the single Asha. The thing is that she is not in a hurry to find a husband, given that she is focusing on her career as an economist. However, pressured by her mother she accedes to go on a date with Ravi, a lovely young man who is equally pressured by his family to get wed ASAP. They decide to join forces, and pretend that they are a couple to avoid all the nagging.
Movie Review
This is another formulaic production offered to us by Netflix. The narrative structure is rather simple, so we gather that the screenplay did not present major challenges at the time of putting it together. Full of pretty colors, a lot o pastel tones, and paced at an easily digestible tempo, it is an easy-watching piece, a soap movie.
The performances are good enough, the best being Suraj Sharma’s, who manages to bring some authenticity to the film.
It is a quirky comedy that does not push boundaries, and is a safe bet.
Our Opinion
If you a seeking something easy to watch that does not require much analysis, this is the movie for you. It is timid in challenging anything or anyone.
