Violin Virtuoso Kwon Min-Ji to Electrify Seoul with Homecoming Solo Concert

An Exquisite Array of Baroque and Modern Repertoire Scheduled for the Afternoon of August 15th

Acclaimed violinist Kwon Min-Ji is set to grace the stage at Seoul’s Arts Center Recital Hall with her homecoming solo concert on the evening of August 15th. The artistry promised within the concert’s repertoire will showcase compositions representative of both classic Baroque and modern music.

The performance will open with the French Baroque masterpiece, J.M. Leclair’s Sonata for Violin and Piano in D Major, Op. 9, No. 3 ‘Tombeau’, followed by J. Brahms’s Sonata for Piano and Violin No. 1 in G Major, Op. 78. The second part will be adorned by W. Lutosławski’s Subito for Violin and Piano from 20th-century Poland, alongside C. Franck’s Sonata in A Major for Violin and Piano.

Kwon Min-Ji’s journey, from Seowon School and Seoul Arts High School to a Bachelors and Masters program at renowned Juilliard School, has led her to become a lifetime member of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and partake in the Sejong Soloists group. Currently the lead second violinist for the KBS Symphony Orchestra, Kwon Min-Ji has been praised for her soulful, warm, and honest performances, gaining international acclaim.
