The iconic singer and music artist Tina Turner is dead, aged 83, it has been stated by her spokesperson to the media outlet Sky News.
According to the spokesperson, she died peacefully today after a long illness at her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland.
She had her musical breakthrough in the 1960s with her then-husband Ike Turner.
But after the couple’s breakup, she embarked on a long and glorious solo career that made her the queen of rock’n’roll.
A career that made her one of the biggest names in the music world ever.
Tina Turner is known, among other things, for tracks like ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It’ and ‘(Simply) The Best’.
