Premise
The story of the professional soccer player Paolo Guerrero who, having been accused of cocaine consumption, was left out from playing at the World Cup tournament in Russia, which would have been a unique chance for him to shine, and set his career in flames.
About the Series
This series is brought to us from Peru, and chronicles a case that took center stage in the Peruvian media, and invites us to see the meanderings behind the scene of a plot. If you do not like soccer, it is most likely not something that you will enjoy. ‘The Fight for Justice: Paolo Guerrero’ does have some amusing moments in its description of the soccer world and of what the famous soccer player was surrounded by, but also the moments portraying the difficulties the soccer star went through.
It recounts the story of Guerrero who had become a national hero, who scored a decisive goal playing against Colombia, and was later on in his professional trajectory sanctioned by the FIFA, which resulted in in the question if he would play or not at the World Cup in 2018.
This is definitely for fans of the sport, of any sport, in fact.
