Cunk on Earth is a BBC series directed by Christian Watt in which Philomena Cunk (played by Diane Morgan) asks questions which are sometimes uncomfortable, other times surrealistic and sometimes intelligent about inventions of Humanity and, how, centuries later, we have ended up the way we are today.
The screenplay has been written by Charlie Brooker among others, whom you are all familiar with (the guy from Black Mirror).
This is an interesting series that follows other batches of Cunk, which are a series that is a mix between educational series and entertainment that are ironic and atractive, above all, thanks to the presence of Diane Morgan who is just great with her British style that knows how to deliver this… irony.
If you are interested in civilization and spending a good and intelligent time in the company of this woman who has so many questions for the experts… here you have Cunk on Earth, a sure fire way to make good use of your leisure.

The Star: Diane Morgan
Diane Morgan is an English actress, stand up comedian and writer. Originally from Bolton, Greater Manchester, she studied at East 15 Acting School and worked with Ken Campbell on the 24 hour play The Warp. Credits include Phoenix Nights, Mount Pleasant, Him and Her, Charlie Brooker’s Weekly Wipe (as Philomena Cunk) Utopia, Rovers, Drunk History, We The Jury, Motherland, The Archivologists and Cunk on Britain. One half of comedy duo Two Episodes of Mash with Joe Wilkinson, and star of several short films, including The Boot Sale directed by Jonathan van Tulleken, written by Rick Edwards, which was shortlisted in the Virgin Media Shorts film competition 2010.

In this opening episode Cunk travels the world, heading down caves and up mountains in her search for Mankind’s first moments, and with the help of a variety of experts she explains how the earliest societies were formed: from the easier ones to spell like Rome and Greece, to the ones that are harder to spell, like Egypt and Mesopotamia.
Faith/Off
Cunk tells the story of the birth of two of the world’s great religions and learns what came next: the fall of the Roman Empire, the Dark Ages, the Crusades, and Genghis Khan. So a bit of a rough patch for Mankind, if we’re honest.
