JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind (ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 黄金の風, JoJo no Kimyō na Bōken Ōgon no Kaze), also known as Vento Aureo, is the fifth story arc of the Japanese manga series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump for a little under 4 years, from December 11, 1995, to April 5, 1999. In its original publication, it was referred to as JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 5 Giorno Giovanna: Golden Heritage (ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 第5部 ジョルノ・ジョバァーナ【黄金なる遺産】, JoJo no Kimyō na Bōken Dai Go Bu Joruno Jobāna [Ōgon naru Isan]).

As it is the fifth part of the series, its 155 chapters pick up where the fourth left off and are numbered 440 to 594, with the tankōbon volumes numbered 47 to 63. It was preceded by Diamond Is Unbreakable and followed by Stone Ocean. An anime adaptation by David Production, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, aired on TV from October 2018 to July 2019.

Golden Wind is set in Italy during 2001, two years after the events of Diamond Is Unbreakable. The story follows Giorno Giovanna, the illegitimate son of Dio Brando, who joins the Passione mafia organization with the goal of taking over and reforming it from the inside. Giorno possesses the Stand Gold Experience, which gives him the ability to create life and transform living things.

Along the way, Giorno is joined by a team of loyal companions, including Bruno Bucciarati, Leone Abbacchio, Guido Mista, Narancia Ghirga, and Trish Una. Together, they must face off against the corrupt members of Passione, as well as the mysterious boss of the organization, Diavolo.

Synopsis

After surviving his thrilling adventures in Morioh, Koichi Hirose, a Stand user and ally of the Joestar family, has arrived in Naples, Italy. His mission? To locate a man named Haruno Shiobana, who may very well be the rightful heir to a fearsome and formidable legacy. However, Haruno Shiobana now goes by the name Giorno Giovanna and earns a living through petty theft. Nevertheless, there is no denying the air of royalty and astuteness that runs in his veins, nor his innate ability to command Stands, supernatural manifestations of his fighting spirit. Regardless of the name he chooses to go by, Giorno Giovanna’s lineage poses a genuine menace, as he is the son of Dio Brando, a villainous figure whose presence instills fear. It is inconceivable that the offspring of Dio could live a quiet existence on this planet.
