The series follows Mbali Hadebe (Buntu Petse), a popular influencer who is forced to enroll in a small-town university in Makhanda after her mother’s corrupt political dealings are exposed. Mbali is determined to reinvent herself and regain her social status, but she soon finds herself struggling to fit in with the other students.

Miseducation is a coming-of-age story about a young woman who is trying to find her place in the world. It is a funny, heartwarming, and thought-provoking series that explores themes of identity, social media, and the power of forgiveness.

It is well produced, and counts on a good cast. Buntu Petse takes on the role of Mbali and nails it. Her repertoire is ample, and she has a knack for snappy retorts. The setting is perfect for a comedy series, with a wide variety of characters that gives way for funny encounters, intrigues and dalliances. It also covers very nicely social issues, and concerns that many a young audience member might appreciate.

It is definitely a series the younger audience will enjoy.
