Regarding religious themes and personal faith, let each individual choose their own beliefs, we will not delve into that aspect. Here we discuss movies and series, and seen from that perspective, “The Chosen One” is an excellently produced work that surprises from the very first scene with its stylish and meticulously crafted cinematography, camera movements, and shot selection.

It’s safe to say it’s a well-made production.

Synopsis

About the series

There is something marvelous about the world of cinema and art in general, and that is the ability of a work (in any format) to respond to different viewers’ perspectives in very distinct ways. Some may see “The Chosen One” as a series about religion – which it may very well be – while others may interpret it as a provocation. However, what we can discuss is the quality of the ideas presented from a cinematic point of view.

“The Chosen One” is a good series that can be enjoyed and has a lot to say and with multiple layers. It dares to push boundaries, playing with the genres of horror and drama, intertwining them and bringing out the best from each, achieving a delicate balance to ultimately attain what we can call personality, or its own style. “The Chosen One” knows how to assert itself, stand out, entertain, and above all, capture the interest of audiences because it skillfully utilizes diverse elements and manages to balance them for those seeking a well-told story and a high-quality production.

It will certainly spark discussion, thus the production company succeeds twofold: it will generate controversy and provoke debate due to its thematic contents. However, we will not be the the ones to discuss that angle.

One thing we will always emphasize, is this: regardless of the discourse and theme – even Oscar Wilde would agree – things must be done with style, and “The Chosen One” manages to do just that, bringing forth a distinctive voice while remaining is quite entertaining.
