Review

A six episode series takes us on a survival journey a young woman has to endure. As the sole survivor of a plane crash, en-route to the North-Western territories in Canada, she will have to face many challenges in the middle of the wilderness, and not only physical challenges, but also emotional, as it will bring back many memories.

The series is not bad, but do not expect too many strong cinematic emotions with regards to the production – it is not a high budget production, thereby not said that it is not good. The performances are convincing, and it has a good narrative. The story is engaging, and it is carried intertwining her actual fight for survival in the wild, with the memories of both her childhood, and her”current” high life in New York as an exec, giving us an interesting mix.

The episodes are not long, making it a manageable viewing experience for an afternoon, and you will most likely want to watch it till the end, as it does indeed have a good story to tell.

Well scripted, filmed, performed, considering the means available for this production. Could it have done more? We actually think it has been very effective in creating a survival thriller, albeit, without awe inducing effects. Its strength lies on the human story behind it.

It is slow paced and balanced in its narrative rhythm, which actually adds to the suspense, naturally supported by the good score.

Enjoy an afternoon in the Canadian wilderness, and a good story that will keep you watching till the end.
