Bradley Charles Cooper, born on January 5, 1975, is an American actor and filmmaker. He has received numerous awards and nominations, including a British Academy Film Award, two Grammy Awards, nine Academy Award nominations, six Golden Globe Award nominations, and a Tony Award nomination. In 2015, Cooper was listed on Forbes Celebrity 100 and Time’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world. His films have achieved a worldwide gross of $11 billion, and he has been ranked among the highest-paid actors multiple times.
Cooper began his career in 1999 with a guest role in the television series Sex and the City. In 2000, he enrolled in the MFA program at the Actors Studio. His film debut came in 2001 with the comedy Wet Hot American Summer. He gained recognition for his role as Will Tippin in the spy-action television show Alias (2001–2006) and achieved moderate success with a supporting role in the comedy film Wedding Crashers (2005). However, his breakthrough role came in 2009 with The Hangover, a critically acclaimed and commercially successful comedy that led to two sequels in 2011 and 2013.
