Brendan Fraser is an American actor and film producer best known for his roles in popular films such as The Mummy, Encino Man, George of the Jungle, Bedazzled and Journey to the Center of the Earth. He is one of the most successful actors of his generation and has over 50 film credits to his name.
Brendan was born in Indiana and rose to fame in 1992 when he starred opposite Alicia Silverstone in Encino Man. Since then he has become a major box office draw, appearing alongside stars such as Elizabeth Hurley, Rachel Weisz and Brendan Gleeson in Bedazzled, Robin Williams in Dawg and Matt Damon in School Ties. He also starred as Rick O’Connell in The Mummy trilogy which made over $1 billion at the global box office.
In addition to acting, Brendan has produced several motion pictures including Furry Vengeance and Monkeybone. He has earned numerous awards for his work including a Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Best Comedy Team (Bedazzled) and a London Critics Circle Film Award for British Actor of the Year (Gods & Monsters). Recently he reprised his role as Rick O’Connell in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor and will be appearing next year on FX’s Trust series alongside Donald Sutherland.
Outside of acting, Brendan is an advocate for human rights organizations such as Amnesty International USA and The Creative Coalition.
