Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget is an animation movie directed by Sam Fell.

This delightful film, enjoyable for both young and old, brings us back to its unique sense of humor, which, although a bit dark, is charming at its core.

While it may not be as hilarious as the first one, seeing these amusing animated characters again will undoubtedly be one of the best experiences for both kids and adults this holiday season.

Synopsis

A band of fearless chickens flock together to save poultry-kind from an unsettling new threat: a nearby farm that’s cooking up something suspicious.

About the Film

“Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget” begins with a recap and then follows its usual formula: a child who changes everything and shakes up youthful dreams. However, these same little chicks bring this group back to what they were from the start: creatures who have come into the cinematic world with the sole intention of making us laugh in a grand adventure.

Is it the best animated film in history? No, it is not. Does it rediscover the first part? No, it primarily relies on repeating the arguments that made the first one a success, thanks to its humor.

However, “Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget” possesses the exceptional essence of the first film’s script, and it seems satisfied with just that. The mixture of childlike sequences and horror movie elements with humans wielding an axe to kill chickens still works… once again.

Our Opinion

We laughed, at times with its childish humor, and especially with its concessions to a dark spirit and macabre humor. While not extraordinary, it manages to entertain and amuse while bringing back these characters who, in their innocence, are once again in top form.

Despite the parenthood.
