Dev Patel, a British actor, has received numerous awards and nominations throughout his career. He has won a BAFTA Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Critics’ Choice Award. Additionally, he has been nominated for an Academy Award, another BAFTA Award, two Golden Globe Awards, and three SAG Awards. Patel began his acting journey by making his screen debut as Anwar Kharral in the popular British television teen drama Skins from 2007 to 2008. Despite having no prior professional acting experience, he successfully landed the role. However, it was in 2008 that Patel truly made his mark with the leading role of Jamal Malik in Danny Boyle’s acclaimed drama Slumdog Millionaire. At just 19 years old, he was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, making him one of the youngest nominees in this category. Furthermore, he won the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
