Triangle of Sadness is the internationally produced dark satire movie that won the Palme d’Or in the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. It is directed by Ruben Östlund, and stars Woody Harrelson, Charlbi Dean and Harris Dickinson among other greats.
Premise
Celebrity model couple, Carl and Yaya, are invited on a luxury cruise for the uber-rich, helmed by an unhinged boat captain. What first appeared instagrammable ends catastrophically, leaving the survivors stranded on a desert island and fighting for survival.
Fun Fact
Definition of the term triangle of sadness: an expression used in the fashion and beauty industries, it refers to the wrinkle or crease between the eyebrows that is popularly attributed to distress, stress, or worry. Note: it is not been scientifically proven that those are the actual causes of said trait.
