My Life with the Walter Boys: A classic television series exclusively for teenagers (I insist: exclusively)

My Life with the Walter Boys is a series starring Nikki Rodriguez. With Noah LaLonde, Ashby Gentry, and Johnny Link. It is based on the novel by Ali Novak.

Do you know those shows where they use slow-motion when a guy gets out of the pool? This is one of those series, and you choose whether to enter this world of hormones, football players, high school problems, adolescence, and profound philosophical issues.

A sunny and hot ranch in Colorado, where, coincidentally, a Bernese Mountain Dog lives (I happen to have one and I know what I’m talking about).

As for the story: these Wattpad stories are a gold mine that Netflix has managed to exploit. They know how to connect with the target audience and speak their language.

It may not be Shakespeare, but at least commercially, they have hit the bullseye with stories that interest teenagers and, above all, generate many streaming views.

Everyone is happy, except perhaps the Royal Shakespeare Company lovers, who will not find in “My Life with the Walter Boys” a worthy solace for their philosophical troubles.

Review of “My Life with the Walter Boys”

Without further ado, “My Life with the Walter Boys” is a series created by teenagers and designed for teenagers. Its problems, concerns, and that whole world that some of us left behind a few years ago and that may seem silly to us sometimes, but still sells and therefore continues to be exploited by producers.

“My Life with the Walter Boys” is a classic television series with the classic story of a city girl who goes to a town and has to adapt to her new life and, in the process, learns to mature, adapt, and, of course, find love. Absolutely nothing new, and don’t bother looking for it because nobody intended it: it is entertainment designed exclusively for teenagers, and you won’t find anything you haven’t seen before or any new ideas.

Does it work? Absolutely, because the idea and production scheme have been so tried and tested that it cannot fail: a series based on almost cultural patterns that, since the early days of cinema, bring us these productions that entertain during adolescence and that, without much more to offer, are forgotten and move on.

It is well produced and very television-friendly. It has not a speck of evil, and the characters are charming, good people with hearts of gold.

If you have a teenage child who is hooked on this series, don’t worry, they won’t find anything that will corrupt their soul: it is a charming series, clean, with a pristine heart.

Our Opinion

A production that will enchant teenagers. Just like others, yes; similar to previous ones as well. It doesn’t stand out, but in terms of industry and audience, it will be a success due to its proximity to the teenage mentality.

Enjoy it.
