Verified Stand-Up is a show featuring 10 esteemed comedians in the game, including Asif Ali, Dulcé Sloan, Gianmarco Soresi, Isiah Kelly, Leslie Liao, Nimesh Patel, Robby Hoffman, Rosebud Baker, Sabrina Wu, and Vanessa Gonzalez.
“Verified Stand-Up” brings together comedians who give us a diverse view of the world: from all places and with all inclinations and genders. Netflix brings us this battle of humor in the American version where diversity is celebrated above all, and how each person understands humor in their own way and, above all, knows how to laugh at themselves.
Which is the healthiest thing in the world.
As you know, Netflix brings us a stand-up every week, but this one (and it shows) is special because it brings together ten comedians in two different settings with shorter monologues, lasting just ten minutes. In these ten minutes, the comedians give it their all, concentrating their humor and discourse to make it, if possible, even more eloquent.
A good idea from Netflix, which in its growth as a platform is also becoming defined in trends and audience, and this stand-up is just an example of that.
Some monologues are more or less funny, but the beauty of this is that if you don’t find one very funny, the next one will come in ten minutes, with their own particular and diverse sense of humor, always different.
Enjoy this stand-up, we had a great time.
Especially with Sabrina Wu and the anecdotes about her father.
