MNTGE, a pioneering vintage clothing brand, and PROOF, leading digital art platform and art collector community, are teaming up for a first-of-its-kind collaboration with an IRL vintage workshop, customization, and minting experience. The event, which will be open to the public, is set to take place September 29th at the Foundry by PROOF in LA’s Arts District at Skylight ROW DTLA.
Partygoers will be immersed in digital and physical artwork, and will have the opportunity to customize a vintage denim jacket with various MNTGE x PROOF patches and multiple effect stations: chain-stitching, heat press, and the sewing lab. All jackets will be tech enabled via NFC technology, forever giving customers and attendees digital proof of ownership.
At the MNTGE x PROOF experience, guests will be able to choose between a classic MNTGE vintage Levi’s denim jacket or a MNTGE x PROOF embroidered Levi’s jacket ($200 for MNTGE passholders, and PROOF holders, $250 for public) – as well as choose from 15 patches ($15 each) consisting of both original MNTGE designs (from Fruits & Veggies collection, MNTGE logo collection) and PROOF designs. For this collaboration, the new patches from PROOF were designed to reflect the culture of web3 and the emphasis on digital art that both PROOF and MNTGE share. The goal was to avoid a corporate-feeling partnership with two
logos, and instead create designs that embody everything both brands stand for, while celebrating some of the amazing artists that both companies have worked with.
The MNTGE x PROOF event will take place on the closing weekend of the Diamond Exhibition, PROOF’s first curated show for the Moonbirds community. This show marks a unified focus on art, artists, and art collecting. The artists within the collection – including Beeple, PROOF’s own Justin Mezzell, Terrell Jones and more – showcase a wide range of artistic backgrounds and styles, including generative pieces, photography, hand-drawn works, and more.
