It is a familial and familiar (i.e. there nothing new about it) story, but is nevertheless told in an original way. Family Secrets is a series that tells the story with multiple narratives – think Desperate Housewives – which is its greatest feature, as its characters, the entanglements and the plot lean towards being too sentimental, getting dangerously close to becoming melodramatic.
An option offered by Netflix for the viewers seeking a more emotional, human and personal number.
