“Back to 15” is a Brazilian series starring Maisa Silva and Camila Queiroz.
Anita continues her journey back to the past in this “Back to the Future” style adventure. Through the internet, she travels back in time to change her future and recreate it.
Not everything will go according to her wishes, as altering the space-time continuum (without plutonium) comes with consequences. However, the charming Anita seems unfazed and returns in this delightful, family-friendly series that brings us joy and lightheartedness without causing harm. It plays with the transition between adolescence and adulthood through time travel.
The series boasts high production quality and, while not entirely original, it successfully navigates the realm of teenage comedy without becoming too silly. It maintains its lightheartedness and provides us with an enjoyable experience, free from major surprises.
A word of caution for viewers: this series diverges from recent Brazilian shows on Netflix. It is more balanced, mature, and features a better script. It skillfully intertwines multiple storylines and explores the drama and relationship between two sisters.
While not outstanding, it offers good entertainment on this nostalgic journey.
(With some liberties taken in terms of quantum physics, but who really understands that anyway?).
