Unknown: The Lost Pyramid is a documentary directed by Max Salomon.

It tells the story of an excavation in search of a buried pyramid belonging to an Ancient Egyptian king about whom very little is known.

In the famous necropolis of Saqqara, there is an unexcavated site: could the hidden pyramid be found there? Netflix invites us to join renowned archaeologists Zahi Hawass and Mostafa Waziri on this excavation, as they seek to uncover a mystery that has been pursued since the 1950s. They claim that the discovery could rival the tomb of Tutankhamun.

This spectacular documentary, directed with great emphasis and even poetry by Max Salomon, follows the two protagonists as they dedicate themselves to unearthing one of the best-kept secrets of the Egyptian desert.

It is a mesmerizing journey filled with secrets, lasting just an hour and a half, that will delight Ancient Egypt enthusiasts.

Although they may already know the outcome of the mystery, they are sure to enjoy it.

A fascinating journey into the secrets of Ancient Egypt. Netflix offers us the opportunity to accompany the archaeologists and gain a deeper understanding of the world of archaeology through this phenomenal documentary.
